Meeting Street is currently looking for a PreK Teacher Assistant for 40 hours per week.
Duties:
- Provides assistance to the teacher in the classroom in regard to daily activities, cleanliness, supervision, curriculum and assessment.
- Maintains a clean, organized and child-friendly learning environment in accordance with state regulations.
- Always maintains supervision of children (indoor/outdoor) using licensing ratios. Provides adequate, hands-on supervision during outdoor play.
- Fosters the development of age-appropriate self-help skills in children.

Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required, Associate degree in related field preferred.
- Meets all requirements of the Rhode Island Department of Education standards as found in Rhode Island General Law 16-11.2.
- A minimum of one (1) year working experience with young children, birth to age 5.
