Family Service of Rhode Island Inc.* CPST Education / Vocational Specialist, CCBHC in Providence, Rhode Island

Position Summary:The Vocational / Educational Specialist will work collaboratively as part of the CCBHC team to support recovery and overall wellness of referred patients, primarily the needs of the Transition Aged Youth population. The Vocational Specialist will support behavioral services to adolescents and young adults with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).This community-based specialist will assist with a patients recovery efforts through individual goal setting, advocacy, mentorship, education, and addressing/ameliorating social determinant of health barriers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Training in Individual Placement and Supports.
- Skilled in operating variousmedicalrecord software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
- Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated.
- Flexible schedule with some evenings.
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:
- Current drivers license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Travel to and from clients residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
- Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements.
