Valet Park of America CDL B Shuttle Driver PT Weekends in Providence, Rhode Island

We are seeking Part-time shuttle drivers for work in Smithfield, RI.

This posting is for a PT driver to work weekends driving at Bryant University. Shuttles operate when school is in session. Outside of school being in session, work is available at other locations nearby.

We are currently seeking staff to work 9am-2pm and 2pm-8pm shifts Saturdays and Sundays. We will consider staff seeking 1 or 2 days per week. Other hours can also be added to create a FT position if so desired.

This role starts at $22/hour, with Sunday shifts paying time & a half, and charter runs also available (which include gratuities). We pay weekly.

The vehicle is a walk-on 25-passenger shuttle that is cleaned and maintained regularly.

Must be over 20, customer service experience is a must!

A valid CDL C or higher with passenger endorsement is required.

A valid medical card is also required (we can assist if needed). Background checks and driving tests will be conducted.

Shuttle Driver- Job Description

The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can

  • Safely shuttling customers to various destinations

  • Opening and closing doors for patrons

  • Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles

  • Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants

  • Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements

  • Recording passenger counts and trip times

  • Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations

  • Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)

  • Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness

  • Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management

  • Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
