AutoZone, Inc. Tractor-Trailer Maintenance Technician in Providence Forge, Virginia

AutoZone is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Tractor-Trailer Maintenance Technicians to join our team. As a Tractor-Trailer Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on AutoZone trailers, ensuring they remain in top condition for safe and efficient transportation. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the functionality of brakes, tires, electrical systems, floors, side walls, and lift gates. Additionally, you will ensure all required AutoZone and Department of Transportation (DOT) documentation is completed accurately and maintain inventory control of our Parts Room.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preventive maintenance on AutoZone trailers, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.

· Conduct repairs on trailer components, including brakes, tires, electrical systems, floors, side walls, and lift gates.

· Complete all necessary AutoZone and DOT documentation with precision and attention to detail.

· Maintain inventory control of the Parts Room, ensuring accurate tracking and organization of parts and supplies.

· Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

· Stay updated on industry best practices and safety regulations to ensure compliance.

· Provide exceptional service and support to ensure the reliability and safety of our trailers.

Requirements:

· Valid driver's license.

· Experience: 1-2 years of mechanic experience in general electrical and mechanical maintenance. Experience with specific systems such as air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems is highly valued. Lift gate experience is a plus.

· Certification: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is preferred.

· Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent documentation and inventory management skills.

· Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.

· Other: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
