Discovery Kauai Management, LLC DBA North Shore Preserve headquartered at 5-3900 Kuhio Hwy, Princeville, HI 96722 phone number: (717)-728-6868, is looking to fill five (5) Steward positions from 03/15/2024 to 12/15/2024. This is for full time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes and kitchen work areas, sweeping kitchen work areas, and removing trash. Provide clean cooking utensils for FandB operations and ensure that all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areas. Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals, and chemical concentration logs. Daily set ups of china, glassware, and silverware items for all outlets. Attends department meetings as necessary. Completion of all opening/closing procedures as instructed. Complete monthly inventory checks. Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained. Adhere to all company policy and procedures and all government, safety, health, and security standards are always complied through the department. 3 months experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required. Must work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length. Worker may be required to work breakfast, lunch or dinner shift. Must read, write, speak and understand English; Must meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.

$21 per hour up to $24 per hour with overtime available at $31.50 per hour up to $36 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Multiple different shifts offered throughout the day), Sunday to Saturday. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 5-3900 Kuhio Hwy, Princeville HI 96722, and will service clients within Kauai County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Housing will be provided by the Employer with a deduction of $250-$500 a month. Employer will make all deductions required by law will be made by the employer. Offered housing is optional. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not inclu ed passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
