In this position you will:
Serve as Administrative support for the Utilities Department including initial customer point of contact.
Perform basic bookkeeping/accounting, prepare purchase orders and requisitions. Track and reconcile purchasing cards.
Annual department budget administration, preparation and tracking.
Create/update spreadsheets and databases for tracking operational costs, electricity usage, project and grant financing/accounting.
Assist with the administration of Capital improvement projects including bid packets, postings, addendums and processing payments. Assist with contract document preparation and processing.
Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and files. Data entry, mail distribution, ordering supplies, filing and document management.
Prepare staff reports for Council approval.
Preparation and processing of paperwork and forms for personnel, budget, travel, training, etc.
Using Town computer programs and applications for time sheets, personnel, budget, and financial tracking.
Assist with public records requests.
Assist with front counter duties, answering the phone and questions from citizens.
