What You Can Expect
The Sr. SME Principle Accounting will be main responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of Swiss Principle, Zimmer GmbH (Hubco), various oversight of OCI and carry forward balances and support the resolution of discrepancies and issues, file data form and cash flow analytics. Participate in process improvement, data analysis, and ensuring compliance to Zimmer Biomet policies and procedures. On acquisitions and divestitures, the Sr. SME Principle Accounting will represent Hubco Finance to ensure smooth technical integration.
How You'll Create Impact
Preparation of all financial reporting (local and to Corporate) in compliance with Swiss and Corporate reporting requirements, standards, GAAP and controls (end to end responsible)
Driving error resolving (load errors, ICP None, PD Staff), train, monitor GBS
Prepares and reviews monthly reports for FCCS reporting
Prepare monthly/quarterly tax calculation and tax compliance tasks
Driving Balance Sheet reviews, prepare analytics
Reviews complex accounting journals (e.g. provisions, dividends, taxes, royalties, rebates etc.)
Acting as main point of daily contact with the outsourcer (GBS, Genpact) for general accounting escalations
Prepared complex onetime journals not prepared by the outsourcer
SME for Donations, coordinates appropriate supply chain flow
Completion of RSTR Data forms, RSTR, CashFlow
Leading the Cash flow forecast and tight liaison with treasury department
SME for accounting of Hedging activities
Prepare monthly calculations and reconciliation of OCI balances maintained in books of records
Prepare or review supplemental data forms input
Analyze any deviations in Data Forms, resolve errors, ensure proper submission
Responsible for correct Pension Fund accounting
Overlooking SOX Framework, coordination of yearly update
Leading and coordinating internal and external audits including SOX testing
Prepare or review authority reporting
Ensure proper payroll accounting and account reconciliation (maybe GBS as initially moved but now back)
Drive automation and digitalization of Hubco processes
Handling of invoices in SRM (Supplier of Relationship Management)
Support local Controller in various ad-hoc accounting topics and projects
What Makes You Stand Out
SAP experience
Experience managing time to meet deadlines and corporate reporting schedules
Very strong analytical skills and strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP and Swiss GAAP is a plus
Strong forward and process thinking skills and good understanding of system functionalities
Ability to multi-task across multiple priorities. Ability to handle high workload and drive department metrics.

Your Background
Education
B.S. in accounting, finance or related field is a plus
Commercial Apprentice or similar education
Professional experience
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience required in finance or accounting.
Previous experience working in a Shared Services/GBS environment an advantage
CPA or equivalent required is a plus.
Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP and other regional and global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, IASB).
