Actalent Tool And Die Designer in Portland, Oregon
Description:
Designs metal stamping dies and other tooling using proven Engineering and Tool and Die processes. Provides feedback to cross-functional teams, mentors team members, and supports business objectives.
Essential Functions:
Understands and applies LTG Die Design Guidelines.
Uses Solidworks CAD software for design work.
Generates strip layouts and die plans based on customer drawings.
Provides technical input on manufacturability and process requirements.
Maintains relationships with cross-functional areas for effective introduction of new dies.
Analyzes statistical data to optimize output, quality, and process capability.
Generates and updates drawings and BOMs for die modifications.
Supports and guides team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
May conduct peer reviews of strip layouts and die designs.
Offers support to the Tool & Die Shop and other departments as needed.
Provides CAD support to all departments within LTG.
