Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This position is responsible for performing maintenance work at a high-rise apartment community in NW Portland. You will work as a member of a skilled maintenance team to ensure that the residential building is maintained to company standards.
Responsibilities
Work in alignment with the company's values-based culture.
Perform maintenance, including basic plumbing repairs, basic electrical repairs, painting, carpentry, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
Monitor common areas for cleanliness and quality as part of a team effort and police grounds for trash.
Keep maintenance areas organized and neat.
Interact professionally with residents.
Manage time appropriately by scheduling and prioritizing tasks.
Perform work at other properties and be flexible to a changing work schedule.
Provide after-hours maintenance coverage and respond to emergency calls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 3 years of property maintenance experience
At least 1-year experience with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry
At least 1-year experience with appliance repair, motor maintenance, and HVAC systems
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to understand and comply with Fair Housing laws
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong troubleshooting skills are a plus

Work Environment
You will be working with about 5-7 other team members on any given day. You need to be comfortable working with and around tenants and coworkers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
