Insight Global Automation Engineer in Port Wentworth, Georgia
Job Description
An Insight Global is looking to hire an Automation Engineer to join their team. This person will assist the company with its push to automate its distribution centers. For the first 4-6 months of the role, they will spend 75% of their time in North Georgia facilities. Around July they will be fully onsite at the Savannah, GA facility which is the pilot and permanent location.
* There is a new piece of equipment that they are using to automate warehouse systems. It is a previously built system/one of a kind automated cell that will take about 15-18 months to complete. This project has many individuals working together, such as Control Engineers, Robotic Engineers, Vision/Ignition Engineers, etc. This individual will be hands-on with the automation, specifically on the PLC and robotic side of things. They will be responsible for keeping the system operational by working on issues, downtime, troubleshooting code to continue to get it running. They will eventually hire a technician to assist with off shift and will be highly responsible for training this individual. The factory acceptation testing will begin in June and this individual will work with the team on conducting front end testing/training.
