Washington State Job Bank Member Relationship Consultant in Port Townsend, Washington
Primary Purpose of Job: Create notable value and experiences for our members in order to meet service and production goals. Efficiently performs teller transactions, opens new accounts, and assists in all lending functions. Responsible for interviewing applicants for consumer loans and processing various loan applications. Effectively cross-sells products and services on a consistent basis in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Acknowledges others in a prompt and friendly manner, identifying products and services, and responding to inquires in a timely manner.
- Develops valued relationships by establishing rapport to ensure continued financial partnerships.
- Delivers and packages support for deposit and consumer loan accounts, business accounts, safe deposit boxes, collections and wires.
- Participates in and supports CU sales and service culture through follow-up calls, referrals, and other methods, according to sales expectations.
- Inspects individual sales goals in order to support the achievement of overall CU goals.
- Listens carefully to assess member needs and identifies opportunities to offer assistance and appropriate solutions.
- Creates a positive experience by providing individualized service through the expression of appreciation and calling individuals by name.
- Utilizes appropriate resources to resolve problems effectively and accurately; actively looking for alternatives and solutions.
- Demonstrates and maintains an up-to-date knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in team meetings, activities, and/or projects.
- Demonstrates quality of work that meets expected standards in regards to neatness, errors, accuracy and completeness
- Takes action without being told, seeks out new assignments, task and additional duties.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.

``` - Experienced in regulatory /compliance issues, policy and procedures associated with lending, teller, and new accounts. - Experience with computers, including MS outlook, word and excel, and general office equipment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Possesses an advanced understanding of products and services.
- Able to file maintain deposit products and services.
- Registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.

``` - Ability to be flexible and work outside the Credit Union's normal hours in order to participate in promotional events such as community events, attend meetings, assist in branch balancing, etc.

``` - Successfully performs MSR duties, or possesses prior equivalent financial institution experience.

``` - Provides a variety of transaction services to members including loan interviewing, loan disbursal, opening accounts, and servicing existing accounts. - Actively engages in the cross-sell of deposit and lending products and services; consistently meeting assigned goals.

``` - Understanding of credit reports, debt ratios, and preparation of loan documents. - Effectively gathers background information and credit history to submit loan to underwriting. - May operate with credit authority as assigned by management.
