Thompson Pump and Manufacturing Co., Inc. MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR in Port Orange, Florida
POSITION OBJECTIVES: Supervise and conduct custodial, maintenance, repair, and remodeling operations for Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. (TPM) facilities so that all systems function properly and safely.
Responsible for preparing maintenance schedules for custodial, maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects.
Responsible for supervising maintenance staff for custodial, maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects.
Responsible for conducting custodial, maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects.
Responsible for preparing cost estimates for custodial, maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects.
Responsible for preparing maintenance schedules for and conducting preventative maintenance on various shop machinery in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
Required to respond to and clean up oil, fuel or hazardous material spills.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsible for conducting safety training to staff.
Responsible for conducting performance evaluations of staff.
Occasionally travel to TPM Branches to conduct remodeling or repairs as needed.
Assist other departments as necessary.
Responsible for following all safety regulations at all work areas and job sites.
Responsible for maintaining proper attendance.
Responsible for representing Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. in a professional, respectful, honest, and courteous manner with customers and co-workers.
Responsible for professional levels of quality and quantity of work.
Responsible for setting priorities.
Responsible for working independently with minimal supervision.
Responsible for the care and maintenance of the wireless communications equipment issued.
Responsible for responding to calls on wireless phones in the evenings, and twenty-four hours per day when on call.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Trade School graduate preferred.
Minimum two-years of responsible maintenance experience required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Awareness of applicable OSHA regulations.
Must be proficient in the use of measuring devices.
Must have working knowledge of basic electrical systems.
Must have basic carpentry, painting, landscaping and general construction skills.
