C.H. Robinson Talent Acquisition Advisor in Port Melbourne, Australia

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Use a mix of automated and traditional recruitment strategies to execute hiring process

  • Facilitate and participate in alignment meetings to define the role, set expectations, and build the recruitment approach and proactively communicate at all stages with all stakeholders

  • Source candidates as needed (including proactive talent searching on social media platforms)

  • Take proactive measures to ensure an unbiased and inclusive hiring process

  • Facilitate debriefs and the selection process

  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems and databases to keep candidate information organized and accessable

  • Follow service level agreements and standard operating procedures to meet recruitment goals

  • Regularly review metrics to identify improvement opportunities

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely updates

  • Provide regular recruitment progress updates to hiring managers, Talent Acquisition leader, Regional Leadership, and peers as needed

  • Proactively identify and inform hiring managers of potential barriers to the recruitment process and recommend solutions

  • Effectively collaborate across Talent Acquisition and broader Human Resources Team as well as the regional business

  • Participate in team meetings

  • Contribute to projects across Talent Acquisition (e. career fairs, campus recruitment, internal talent programs)

  • Provide and seek guidance to and from recruiters

  • Facilitate recruitment training for leaders (hiring edge)

  • Prepare and manage talent pools as required

  • Align and negotiate terms of service and manage relationship when engaging with external agencies

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years’ recruitment experience and/or general Human Resources experience

  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems (experience in workday recruitment highly recommended)

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation/communication proficiency

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Collaborative team player mindset and receptiveness to coaching

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize the right work

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and solution orientation

  • Site Specific: Ability to lift over 20lbs (career fair material) and stand at a career fair for up to 5 hours

  • Site Specific: Campus recruitment experience

  • Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
