Naval Sea Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Port Hueneme, California

Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Availability Planning Division, Modernization and Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will support modernization advanced planning efforts, coordinating team members in modernization actions for surface combat and weapon systems as part of the Availability Planning Division. You will plan work to be accomplished by Combat System Project Engineers (CSPEs) and On-Site Installation Coordinators (OSICs). You will ensure that Combat System (CS) improvements and upgrades, with the corresponding work packages, are planned and ready for installation in combatants during planned availabilities for maximum combat system effectiveness. You will ensure the accuracy of technical/logistics information for alterations planned for each availability and that planned alterations are mature and authorized for installation during modernization availabilities. You will participate in system requirements and design reviews, working group meetings, analysis/demonstrations and critical program in-process reviews/conferences. You will provide support and oversight expertise to resolve issues, provide timely and effective planning to support program milestones, timely delivery and coordination of required products and actions, and customer satisfaction. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing system supportability requirements to plan and manage integrated logistics support processes and operations for ship combat systems programs.
