The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team.

The Trade Compliance Specialist will ensure trade compliance in the development, implementation and management of the export/import compliance program for Williams International.  Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Sustaining compliance with Corporate Policies, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  2. Making sure that export licenses are in compliance.
  3. Maintain overall compliance of the export shipments.
  4. Maintain overall compliance of the import shipments.
  5. Classification of parts and technical data in Williams International's Product Lifecycle Management system known as Product Vision (PV).
  6. Determine approval for the release of parts and technical data by reviewing PV workflows that are to go to Williams International foreign national
  7. Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality Policy.

     

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent years of experience 
  • 0-3 years of international trade (import/export) experience.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Commerce, Department of State, and Customs and Border Protection automated filing applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of Global Trade Compliance systems, such as OCR and ERP software, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • S. citizenship is required
  •  Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
