Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary

As the Field Security Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing personnel engaged in the Physical Security function for the organization. This role involves monitoring systems associated with personnel and vehicular traffic, managing security clearances, implementing loss prevention and detection services, conducting security inspections, and supporting intricate security actions to uphold organizational security principles.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee personnel engaged in Physical Security functions.

  • Monitor systems associated with personnel and vehicular traffic.

  • Manage security clearances for personnel and visitors.

  • Implement and manage loss prevention and detection services.

  • Conduct security inspections.

  • Provide support for intricate security actions.

  • Act as the site subject matter expert for all security issues.

  • Implement physical security procedures.

  • Conduct formal inquiries into criminal acts and violations of company policy.

  • Provide comprehensive briefings to senior management.

  • Assist in the development of security education and instructional programs.

  • Coordinate with client and government agencies.

  • Conduct Threat Vulnerability Assessments and Risk Analysis.

  • Manage physical security and security compliance programs.

  • Provide consulting to site management.

  • Provide security education and instructional presentations.

  • Monitor and maintain electronic databases and archives.

  • Enforce badging requirements and ensure proper workforce supervision.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must have an Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years leadership experience within the security field.

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience conducting formal investigations.

  • Knowledge of force protection procedures and practices is required.

  • Must be familiar with interview and investigative techniques.

  • Experience with, and proficiency in writing security incident reports is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Additional certifications in security or related fields.

  • Previous experience working with government or military agencies.

  • Experience in managing electronic databases and archives.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of international security protocols and procedures.
