Aerotek Tig Welder in Plymouth, Minnesota

TIG Welder

$22-$28 - 2nd shift!

Job Description

  • Seeking a TIG Welder to primarily focus on turntable TIG welding, using a foot-operated mechanism.

  • The role includes overhead welding tasks, mainly working on hydraulic pump liners.

  • Additional responsibilities include working on formed hydraulic tube assemblies, fabricated tubular parts, tube manifolds, and custom tube assemblies and manifolds.

  • The welding tasks will primarily involve round thin wall tubing, with materials consisting of 80% mild steel and 20% stainless steel.

  • The position requires performing fitting to tubing's, and managing high production runs with an average order size of 50 pieces.

  • On avg. employees can recivece 10-20 hours of OT eveey week.

  • They give out end of the year bonuses that account for 5% of your yearly salary. Sometimes is more depending on sales that year.

  • Christmas bonus is one full 40 hour week of pay

  • 2 weeks of starting PTO (negotiable if realistic)

  • 6 days of sick pay (if you don’t use it, it’s paid out at the end of the year. If you use 3 days, you’re paid out 3 days of pay instead of 6 days) 48 total hours.

  • Individual medical plans, company covers majority of the cost and low deductible plan

  • Stock plan for employees based on company performance (think of it as a separate 401k that the company contributes money to)

  • 401k retirement plan (unsure on exact company match but it’s a solid amount)

  • Scott has never had a single week where OT is not available in the 20 years he’s worked there

  • Currently working with the City of Plymouth to get clearance to add additional space on the property to build and are looking at separate buildings if they can’t expand on their current land

  • Very tenured work force and don’t do layoffs.
