The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and goods through transaction documentation, process, procedure verification, and system review. The candidate will manage replenishment strategies; oversee physical inventories and lead cycle counts – analyzing and correcting cycle count discrepancies.
What you will be doing:
Support resolution of daily production issues
Design and qualify production processes and custom production fixtures
Develops and implement new manufacturing techniques as required
Define and implement production flow and layout improvements
Recommend opportunities for process improvements in product quality, process efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction. Assist in leading improvement projects and activities
Support the successful transfer of new products into production
Creates and/or updates assembly procedures, bills of materials, and routings
Assists with leading the work activities of production personnel
Creatively resolves production issues
Exercises judgment and works with minimal direction to determine root cause of problems. Evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations for course of action
Builds productive collaborative relationships and advises others on basic matters
Able to communicate effectively and transfer information through written and verbal methods. Adapts style to differing production personnel
Must have for this role:
8+ years’ experience in inventory management including 3+ years leading teams
Intermediate Knowledge of Inventory Control or Production Control, and MRP in a manufacturing environment
Advanced experience in ERP is required, preferably in Oracle
Fundamental experience in quality systems (i.e. 5S and lean practices) and driving change
Nice to have:
CPIM certification
Forklift Certification
Travel required: 10% domestic
