The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and goods through transaction documentation, process, procedure verification, and system review. The candidate will manage replenishment strategies; oversee physical inventories and lead cycle counts – analyzing and correcting cycle count discrepancies.

What you will be doing:

  • Support resolution of daily production issues

  • Design and qualify production processes and custom production fixtures

  • Develops and implement new manufacturing techniques as required

  • Define and implement production flow and layout improvements

  • Recommend opportunities for process improvements in product quality, process efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction. Assist in leading improvement projects and activities

  • Support the successful transfer of new products into production

  • Creates and/or updates assembly procedures, bills of materials, and routings

  • Assists with leading the work activities of production personnel

  • Creatively resolves production issues

  • Exercises judgment and works with minimal direction to determine root cause of problems. Evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations for course of action

  • Builds productive collaborative relationships and advises others on basic matters

  • Able to communicate effectively and transfer information through written and verbal methods. Adapts style to differing production personnel

Must have for this role:

  • 8+ years’ experience in inventory management including 3+ years leading teams

  • Intermediate Knowledge of Inventory Control or Production Control, and MRP in a manufacturing environment

  • Advanced experience in ERP is required, preferably in Oracle

  • Fundamental experience in quality systems (i.e. 5S and lean practices) and driving change

Nice to have:

  • CPIM certification

  • Forklift Certification

Travel required: 10% domestic
