Acara Solutions Quality Technician in Plattsburgh, New York
Description
Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Technician to join our client on a temp to hire opportunity located in Plattsburgh NY
Pay: $28 Hourly
Shift: 1st shift
Contract: Temp to perm after 6-month conversion
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and identify defects in purchased parts and components.
- Document issues and create Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) to help minimize disruptions to production.
- Ensure defective parts are clearly marked, isolated, and prevented from being used in production.
- Coordinate the replacement of defective parts with conforming parts to maintain the production schedule.
- Manage sorting and containment of defective parts in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
- Block defective parts in stock to prevent future use and request corrective actions.
- Provide inspection criteria for incoming parts and manage control in the ERP system for future deliveries.
- Communicate NCRs to suppliers and collaborate on corrective actions using the Supplier Quality Portal (SQP).
- Participate in daily and weekly meetings with various stakeholders to review quality issues and improvements.
- Follow and enforce safety guidelines to ensure the safe use of manufacturing equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential areas for process enhancements.
Job Requirements
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection, Non-Conformity Reports (NCR), and root cause analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems and quality tools such as Supplier Quality Portals (SQP) is a plus.
