MON-FRIDAY 7am-3pm

Starting Pay: $31.15-$33.25

Responsibilities

Summary: Automation Technicians will provide support to the Manufacturing Team in an effort to identify improvements in overall productivity and waste reduction. The position will assist Team Leaders and Process Leaders in overseeing daily manufacturing processes, troubleshoot controls issues, write capital investment proposals, manage cost initiative projects and equipment repairs, and other duties as determined by Production Team Leader

Job Duties of an Automation Technician:

• Demonstrate understanding of the lithography printing process and Sealing equipment that including auto feeders, sealers, auto packers, and palletizers.

• Willing to introduce new technology to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and waste.

• Establish and maintain credibility.

• Ability to pay close attention to detail, prioritize multiple tasks and possess excellent follow-up skills.

• Meet production goals by balancing quality, productivity, performance, cost, safety, environmental, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of the area.

• Check work areas for safety hazards.

• Communicate the status of orders schedule; work with Production Team/Process Leaders, Maintenance, Engineering and Quality on projects and capital investment projects.

• Ensure that all requirements of the SQF Code are being administered and adhered to.

• Responsible for compliance with and adherence to all established good manufacturing practices, food safety plans and all applicable regulations and guidelines.

Skills:

• Knowledge of modern programming languages, including C#, T-SQL, and ladder logic.

• Proficient in Rockwell RS 500, Rockwell Studio 5000, Microsoft Visual studio, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and ABB Drive Composer.

• Knowledge of multiple communications media and protocol such as optic, DH485, DH+, TCP/IP, and Ethernet/IP.

• Ability to create or modify electrical drawings using Autocad.

• Ability to setup and maintain AC drives, Servo drives, Stepper drives, vision system, HMI panels, and process computers.

• Ability to design or modify electrical control circuits.

• Ability to build control panel.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Computer Programming Associates degree preferred.

• Has strong technical skills and abilities in manufacturing.

• Has strong leadership abilities and is able to hold team members accountable.

• Has the ability to build positive relationships with other team leaders, process leaders, and the entire Plant City Team.

• Able to work in a Manufacturing environment.

• Has demonstrated that he or she can be objective and treat others with dignity and respect.
