The Position

The Associate Product Manager is driven by a customer-centric mindset to meet business goals by leading the development of new IT solutions.

Relationships

Reports to a manager in the NNI IT Organization.

Interacts and has responsibilities to other members of the IT team, including architects, system managers, and other supporting roles. Must maintain positive and frequent communications with line of business owners and managers.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and drive the definition of product vision and roadmap

  • Build, prioritize and maintain Program Backlog

  • Clarify and coordinate dependencies with other Product Managers, external stakeholders and Agile teams, and collaborate with these to visualize and prioritize features accordingly

  • Product and disease state knowledge; demonstrates an understanding of the targeted disease state and treatment options. Develops an understanding of NN and competitor product characteristics

  • Market, Industry and customer understanding; acquires and begins to apply knowledge of the healthcare and access environment, customer needs, competitor product trends and activities in the development of tactics for band plans for inclusion in the strategic brand plan

  • Research and analysis; identifies information gaps and assists in design and execution of data gathering solutions, Uses a broad range of data to uncover market, customer insights and prioritize opportunities. Monitors and follows up on key performance indicators

  • Develops and executes marketing plans; gathers data and information to assist in the identification of key issues, uses knowledge of brand objectives, key customer segments and brand positioning when designing and executing brand tactics

  • Leads and manages projects; participates in regular project review meetings, provides input into and executes plans, timelines, and deliverables by liaising between the organization, vendors, agencies and internal and external customers

  • Business and financial analytics; applies basic financial measures to monitor budget vs. actual project spend, interprets and translates business and financial data into clear, relevant and usable conclusions

    Physical Requirements

    0-10% overnight travel required.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field preferred. May substitute relevant professional experience

  • Advanced degree or additional certifications preferred

  • 4+ years’ experience working within a Product Management or similar function within IT or innovation

  • Experience with Data Privacy required

  • 1+ year experience in Agile methodologies required

  • Ability to drive outcomes and seek new and innovative solutions

  • Experience navigating within a global organization

  • Strong business insight and knowledge is required in relation to products, roadmaps etc.

  • Proven track record of setting direction and communicating a purpose and vision to all levels of an organization

  • Demonstrated ability to assist in leading a project in the development and implementation of processes and programs

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written, formal presentation

    Preferred

  • Experience with Privacy Management tools like OneTrust or others preferred

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
