JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolve hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth IT operations within the organization. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems via phone, email, or in-person. - Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or external vendors as necessary. - Assist users with software installations, configurations, and updates. - Guide users through step-by-step solutions to technical problems. - Educate users on IT policies, procedures, and best practices. - Perform routine maintenance on IT systems, including software updates and patches. - Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality. - Assist in managing and maintaining IT inventory, including hardware and software assets. - Maintain accurate records of all IT support requests and resolutions. - Document procedures, solutions, and user guides for common issues. - Update and manage the knowledge base for IT support. - Assist with data migration requirements as necessary. - Assist with implementing and enforcing IT security policies. - Respond to security incidents and breaches and assist in recovery efforts. - Conduct regular security checks and audits. - Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless IT operations. - Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions. - Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required. INTERACTION WITH: - All levels of management - All departments EXPERIENCE: - Proven experience as an IT Help Desk Technician or similar role. - Familiarity with network systems, printers, and other peripheral devices. EDUCATION: - High school diploma or equivalent; Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. CERTIFICATIONS: - Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while maintaining scheduled deadlines. - Excellent listening skills - Ability to maintain focus. - Meet deadlines. - Follow safety and materials policies and procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Must be able to pass physical exam - Ability to lift and move computer equipment - Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. - Ability to exert maximum force to pull and carry objects. - Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling - Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses - Good hearing SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Lenco Industries supports and complies with all Federal and State Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) requirements.
