Actalent Software Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Ensure the successful on-time, on-budget delivery of engineering and FPGA software solutions.
Problem Solving: Prioritize and monitor software problem report status, executing tasks within engineering and software development activities.
Collaboration: Facilitate scope and requirement discussions with technical teams and customers, actively participating in creating optimal project technical solutions.
Technical Expertise :Utilize your strong experience with VHDL and C programming languages, and work with Altera and Xilinx processors.
Debugging: Apply your strong debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Lifecycle Management: Leverage your extensive understanding of software development lifecycles, delivery, and HW/SW integration lifecycles.
Leadership: Lead, engage, and manage tasking of cross-functional teams with varying skills and experience.
Multi-tasking: Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Relationship Building: Build effective relationships with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional communication skills.
Organization: Maintain a detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational skills.
Qualifications:
Experience: 6+ years of experience as an FPGA software engineer for large software control system applications.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in VHDL and C programming languages, experience with Altera and Xilinx processors, and strong debugging skills.
Lifecycle Knowledge: Extensive understanding of software development lifecycles, delivery, and HW/SW integration lifecycles.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
Multi-tasking: Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
Organization: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
