Salary Range for this position is $79,000 - $148,000. Salary Range is based on Experience and Education levels.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Supervisor, Laboratory Operations Scientist,
This role will supervise the Laboratory Operations Scientists in Pittsburgh to optimize clinical assays, workflows, timelines, and deliverables. It leads, manages, and collaborates on various studies with daily oversight for evidence development, product pipeline, experimental design, workflow efficiencies, coaching, assay development, validation, and assay transfer to the clinical production laboratory. This role will primarily involve supervising, guiding, initiating, directing, performing, and executing projects, experimental plans, data, reports, deliverables, and mentoring personnel.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. in a scientific discipline or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in research.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in multiplexed immunofluorescence slide labeling, digital slide imaging, image analysis, and data management/analysis.
- Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, successful collaboration with others, and independent/critical thinking skills.
- Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.

SCHEDULE
- The schedule is typically from 8 a.m. to around 5 p.m., but it can be flexible depending on the experiments.
