(Community Live Assistant)

Full Time Days/Thursday Evening * $15.43-17.55/hour

Monday - Friday + every other weekend rotation

United Methodist Communities is currently seeking an Activities Assistant for our Pitman Community who will coordinate and implement Residential and Healthcare resident activities.

United Methodist Communities in Gloucester County, a senior community in Pitman New Jersey, is truly integrated into the life of the town. We are part of a beautiful residential neighborhood, near to highways and public transportation with easy access to both Philadelphia as well as the Jersey Shore.

Requirements for an Activities Assistant:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 or more year of relevant work experience

    Responsibilities for an Activities Assistant:

  • Participates in the scheduling of activities and programs within the community, communicates those with residents, encourages participation and participates in assigned programming.

  • Conducts assigned programs including 1 to 1 visit.

  • Assists with field trips and outings.

  • Transports residents to and from planned activities within or external to community.

  • Maintains resident's attendance. Assists with documentation- daily attendance records and 1 to 1 record.

  • Meets with outside local community groups to plan joint projects which benefit community residents as instructed.

  • Assures supplies are available for various activities/programs.

  • Gives input to residents care planning- assessments, care plan goals and approaches and progress notes.
