The position provides management and oversight of the Work Management Process (WMP), which is utilized to plan and execute maintenance of plant equipment in a safe, regulatory compliant, and efficient manner.  The WMP is designed to maximize schedule stability, while allowing the flexibility to manage emergent equipment failures.  The objective of the WMP is to integrate the inter-group efforts necessary to maximize safety, system reliability and overall plant efficiency, thereby maximizing plant production.  This is accomplished through a structured planning and review process, which utilizes input from numerous site organizations.  The Work Week Manager (WWM) heads the Work Management Team, which is comprised of representatives from all organizations necessary to safely conduct work activities at the site.  The primary responsibility of the WWM is to function as the single-point-of-contact for all issues and activities associated with the designated work week.  This entails managing inter-group coordination, providing an interface with management, and addressing specific issues that arise.

*Job Responsibilities: *

  • The WWM owns the Work Management Process and is responsible for development and implementation of the program, including policies, procedures and training.  The position provides management and oversight of the Work Week Scheduler(s) and Applications Administrator, ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements as well as company policy.
  • The WWM owns the Work Week Plan and authorizes all changes to the week's scope for the execution week and the three weeks prior to execution week.  The WWM reviews and approves the Work Week Plan, ensuring it can be successfully executed. The review includes validation of necessary logic ties, verification that system Surveillance and Preventive Maintenance activities are scheduled and completed according to program requirements, and ensuring the schedule is appropriately levelized.
  • The WWM functions as the single-point-of-contact during execution week.  The WWM maintains/controls the "big picture" of all activities occurring during the week. The WWM also closely monitors all scheduled Limiting Conditions of Operation to ensure work is performed as scheduled and therefore returning the system to operation as soon as possible.
  • The WWM chairs the daily Plant Status Meeting and Plan Status Meeting.  The WWM approves requests for Emergent and Sponsored work.  In addition, the WWM performs post-work week critique of significant evolutions.  The WWM will develop, publish and presents performance indicators for the work week.
  • Traceability control of plant safety system components, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, vendor managed inventories and shipping and receiving activities.
  • The WWM directs the activities of the Applications Administrator in the control of the plant Maintenance and Scheduling software applications.  This includes controlling data consistency and integrity, tracking of periodic surveillance activities in support of regulatory compliance requirements, and administration of Predictive, Preventive, and Corrective maintenance activities. 
  • The WWM is responsible for managing activities under their cognizance to ensure they are performed in a high-quality, cost-efficient manner, ensuring budgetary compliance for the organization.  The WWM is also responsible for managing personnel under their cognizance for compliance with safety and health program. The WWM must manage the training requirements for assigned personnel.
  • The WWM may be assigned other duties as determined by management.
