Description

We are in the process of selecting a Controller to join our team in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This role is crucial to our hospitality and property management operations, with the Controller being responsible for managing accounting clerks, overseeing full cycle accounting for multiple entities, and handling a variety of financial and human resource tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the management of up to 3 accounting clerks.

• Handling full cycle accounting for 7 entities.

• Conducting budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Preparing and posting journal entries.

• Managing month-end close procedures.

• Conducting reconciliations.

• Preparing financial statements.

• Handling sales/business and federal tax returns.

• Establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Managing payroll for up to 100 people.

• Overseeing costing for new construction and inventory control.

• Conducting financial analysis and variance analysis.

• Handling Human Resource functions including insurance renewals, onboarding new staff into payroll system, payroll reconciliations against the time and attendance system and benefits liaison.

Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Experience with MS Great Plains Accounting

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close

• Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting

• Ability to perform Financial Analysis

• Experience in Variance Analysis

• Ability to do Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to handle Insurance Premiums

• Experience in Process Biweekly Payroll

• Knowledge of Annual Inventory

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
