Brief Description:
The Quality Technician, reporting to the Quality Manager, is a key component to the overall quality system within the organization.
Activities and responsibilities of the Quality Technician include:
Incoming Inspection
PPAP Analysis
Internal Audits
Control of Non-Conforming Product
Preventive and Corrective Action
Certification Management (component material, plating, etc.)
Final Inspection and Gage Pack entry and maintenance
Job Responsibilities:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality lab environment with an emphasis on dimensional inspection, including PPAP analysis, against blueprint/drawing specifications
Experience using various testing equipment, such as but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, thread gauges, optical comparators, etc.
Preference for experience in, or a working knowledge of, ISO 9001:2008 and/or ISO 9001:2015 disciplines
Preference for experience in the fastener industry
Preference for experience in, and a working knowledge of, fastener related specifications such as but not limited to: ASTM, ASME, IFI, MIL, DIN
Experience in following non-conforming product guidelines and ensuing corrective action disciplines
Experience in conducting internal or external audits for conformance to given standards
Personal Skillsets :
Efficient time management, with the ability to efficiently see numerous tasks through to completion
Excellent communication skills (via face-to-face communication, phone, and email) across all levels of the organization
Precision oriented
Education/Credentials:
A minimum of a high school education, GED, or equivalent
Preference of a two or four-year degree in a correlating discipline
