Join our team within the Integrated Flight Systems Center of Excellence (COE) that designs, develops and integrates highly complex Avionics Flight Systems within Honeywell Electronic Solutions. As a Sr Systems Engineer, you will support the development of next generation products, working on programs to ensure the security, resilience and integrity of electronic aerospace systems, namely in Avionics and Cockpit product areas.

Key Responsibilities

You will be part of a talented team of engineers in the design, development, test and analysis of electronic aerospace systems and future design concepts, applying engineering logic to reduce product security risks, vulnerability and exploitation of airborne electronics and flight systems.

  • Drive the design, development, qualification, and implementation of product security requirements throughout the systems development lifecycle for flight systems.

  • Analysis of existing hardware systems and systems level requirements development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security compliant designs and requirements into the product development lifecycle of Avionics products.

  • Systems requirements analysis, documentation and certification

  • Model based Development System Design

  • Systems Design

  • Requirements decomposition

  • Systems integration

  • Perform Validation & Verification Activities

  • Perform Risk Identification; dispositioning and documenting risks

  • Support Compliance activities

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or related Systems Engineering technical discipline

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle

  • Systems Engineering experience in Aerospace, Avionics, Automotive, or related transferrable industry

  • Experience with related aerospace electronic systems (A PLUS) i.e. avionics, flight systems, flight deck, etc.

  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.

  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration

  • Knowledge of systems security compliance, product safety and/or basic cybersecurity principles (A PLUS).

  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes

  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace cybersecurity A PLUS.
