Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Under moderate supervision, a Sr Solutions Analyst will regularly demonstrate creative problem solving while contributing to the documentation, planning and implementation efforts of small to medium sized project teams to deliver solutions to complex business problems. They must be familiar with MIS strategy, technical platforms, and security protocols. They can deconstruct existing processes, break out pain points, review and collaborate remediation options with appropriate stakeholders, and propose technical solutions to enhance and modernize. They can also follow appropriate planning cadences to schedule technical enhancements while coordinating timing of implementation with all stakeholders. They must able to communicate personal and team status to project stakeholders, collaborate with project teams to define workplans, and provide critical training, coaching, and advising to end users or stakeholders on solution implementation. A Sr Solutions Analyst has some latitude to set objectives, priorities, and timelines that may impact department or individual work groups, often collaborating with managers and/or functional site leaders and external colleagues.

  • Work independently with limited supervision by collaborating with the custom, packaged, business intelligence, and operations platform project teams to define and execute project solutions, effort, and timelines. Ensure system analysis designs and process maps are concisely documented and communicated with project stakeholders and MIS management. Present solutions to the architecture review board to ensure alignment with architecture, security, data integration, and identity protocols.

  • Solves complex problems by deconstructing business and systems needs in terms of functional and technical requirements. Align solutions to MIS strategy. Work closely with project stakeholders and process leads to identify pain points, security risks, and opportunities for modernization. Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues and suggests variation in approach.

  • Collaborates with internal and external teams to define process improvements, focused on automation and self-service. Works with process owners, understands tactical and strategic plans to support operations. Provides project-specific input to help create the overall strategic roadmap for a domain. Assesses unusual circumstances & uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause.

  • Manages projects, promotes and educates project teams about planning protocols, communicates appropriately with all stakeholders, fosters agile tools and processes, and drives rapid, iterative delivery of value.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience managing technical solution implementations; OR

  • Associates degree and seven (7) years of experience managing technical solution implementations; OR

  • High School diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years of experience managing technical solution implementations.

  • Communication

  • Produce communication plans and RACI charts appropriate for various audiences

  • Produce informative status reports to program leadership

  • Explain project goals and value added

  • Effectively communication findings and outcome achieved

  • Process Analysis

  • ​​​​​​​Capable of deconstructing a business process into system workflows and decision trees

  • Capable of translating a business process into system requirements

  • Capable of recommending process options with focus on standardization and self-service

  • Implementation

  • ​​​​​​​Defines and manages technical implementations on medium-complexity projects

  • Can explain, coach, and advise end users on proper configuration and system usage

  • Can develop change management plan with appropriate training and communications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate with a related degree (MIS, Computer Science, etc.).

  • Successful internship experience and completion with focus on applicable business processes, IT services and/or technology solutions.

  • Successful internship with Freeport

  • Experience with Microsoft Online (O365/M365) environment including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Forms, Whiteboard, Delve, Word, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience Working in Agile project management methodology and Agile teams and working with Developers, Architects, and Business Customers.

  • Experience working directly with stakeholders to identify, analyze and gather solution requirements.

  • Experience analyzing business processes and using requirements to develop common data models.

  • Experience with data analysis and manipulation.

  • Experience with Visio and project management software (MS Project, Planner, AzureDevOps).

  • Understands and demonstrates Freeport Edge principles and behaviors.

Criteria/Conditions:

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Compensation:

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $79,000 - $109,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
