Position Summary :

As a Senior Product Specialist, you will be a technical leader for our regional Electron Microscopy team, within our Materials Science division. The focus of this position is the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and elemental analysis products, including energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), as well as specialized workflows, such as Maps Mineralogy and particle analysis (Perception). Your role will involve supporting sales initiatives by delivering technical presentations, driving business development, and improving customer engagements through deep technical expertise and innovative product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Support: Deliver detailed technical product presentations and hands-on demonstrations to support sales efforts.
    • Sales Development: Drive sales development through workshops, campaigns, and effective lead management in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
    • Customer Engagement: Partner with account managers during customer visits to identify key application needs and support product promotions.
    • Product Feedback: Collect feedback to inform product improvements and configurations, focusing on specific market needs.
    • New Product Support: Provide valuable input for beta testing of new products and assist in developing sales support materials, such as application notes and new collateral.
    • Knowledge Sharing: Present at symposia, author technical articles, and keep the sales/demonstration team advised on the latest product developments and competitive insights.
    • Technical Refinement: Evaluate and document product accessories and collaborate with demonstration lab staff to refine demonstration techniques.
    • Post-Sales Support: Offer post-sales support and training to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics. Advanced degree preferred.

    • Over five years of direct experience with SEM and associated analytical techniques.
    • Experience with analytical equipment and advanced techniques, such as Raman spectroscopy, Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), Cathodoluminescence (CL), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) preferred.
    • Deep knowledge of SEM/FIB (Focused Ion Beam)/analytics systems and their scientific applications.
    • Proven leadership and teamwork skills, with a strong ability to work across various teams.
    • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills. Bilingual preferred.
    • Ability to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Oregon is $102,200.00–$153,350.00.
