Actalent Senior Architectural Project Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Title: Senior Architectural Project ManagerJob Description

Responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of architectural projects from conception to completion. This role involves managing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager serves as a key leader, facilitating communication between clients, designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure that design intent and project goals are met. Initially, you will likely spend some time working as a PA with one of our current PM's to familiarize yourself with our system and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple architectural projects from initiation to completion.

  • Manage client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

  • Coordinate work of multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning requirements, and industry standards.

  • Stay informed of updates in codes, materials, and best practices.

  • Serve as the primary client liaison for budgeting, scheduling, and growing client relationships.

  • Actively manage project budgets, schedules, programs, and team assignments.

  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate work effort as required.

  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.

  • Supervise and mentor project teams.

  • Assist with marketing and business development.

  • Prepare proposals and contracts for projects of varying size and complexity.

Essential Skills

  • 8-10 years as a project manager in architecture, preferably within the municipality industry.

  • Ability to manage projects above 10 million dollars.

  • Ability to manage a team of designers and drafters.

  • Demonstrated skills in project design, production and coordination of construction documents, and contract administration.

  • Experience in managing client and consultant relationships.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Revit and 3D modeling.

  • Five years of related project management experience.

  • Knowledge and experience of the local market.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to interact positively with others, solve problems, and communicate solutions constructively.

  • High degree of accuracy in performing responsibilities.

Work Environment

This is a mid-size firm of around 40 people. The work environment is professional and office-based, with a business casual dress code that may vary with client interactions. The culture is team-oriented and collaborative. The firm retains staff long-term, with a high average job tenure. We provide architectural services to government clients, corporations, and design/build firms throughout the United States. Projects range in size up to $200 million in construction cost, involving technically complex systems and processes. The firm’s experience includes managing complex projects with multiple consultants, approving agencies, owners, and user groups. Great benefits package is provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
