Honeywell Machinist - Level 3 - 1st and 2nd shift in Phoenix, Arizona

As a Machinist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise operation of Mills, Lathes, and Grinders. With your intermediate level of knowledge and expertise in machining, you will contribute to the production of high-quality components and parts. You will receive minimal instruction on routine tasks and general instructions on new assignments, allowing you to showcase your skills and contribute to the success of our operations.

Theres availability for first shift and second shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Mills, Lathes, and Grinders to produce components and parts according to specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and machining programs with expert proficiency, ensuring accurate and precise machining.

  • Train and mentor others on reading blueprints, interpreting machining programs, and using measuring tools/equipment.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of HOS (Honeywell Operating System) concepts and actively participate in activities such as 5S, safety compliance, continuous improvement, and adherence to NUCAP and NADCAP requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues and optimize machining processes.

  • Continuously learn and develop skills in multiple machining disciplines to enhance versatility and contribute to the overall success of the team.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years of experience in machining, specifically aligning to Mills, Lathes, and Grinders.

  • 3+ years proficiency in Geometric Dimension & Technology

  • 3+ years experience of reading blueprints, drawings, tools, and gauges

  • 3+ years of experience understanding of HOS concepts and ability to teach others, specifically: HOS Support all activities for 5S, observe all safety policies Participate with continuous improvement, follow NUCAP, NADCAP requirements.
