Honeywell Lead Cyber Security Architect, Avionics in Phoenix, Arizona
Join the Cyber Systems Engineering Group within the Defense and Space Electronics organization. You will work with a team of engineers to analyze various electronics products, test stations, or future design concepts and apply Engineering logic to reduce the risk of Cyber Attack or Cyber Exploitation. You will be responsible for the development, test, and qualification of products, and learn how to apply Engineering and Entrepreneur concepts to a growing new business sector. Your tasks will include critical thinking, Engineering analysis, verbal and written presentations, security support, documentation, and recommendation of solutions to customers. The assignment will be within the Ground Proximity Warning (EGPW) product line, with high potential to become the subject matter expert across the Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance Center of Excellence (CNS COE). You will partner with the CTO office as a representative of the product lines. You will also be a critical part of a team of engineers driving technical solutions that meet key program milestones and cost objectives.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Apply engineering knowledge, tools, and principals to develop and improve systems
Innovate and design systems to safely deploy to the military overseas
Work with Software, Hardware, and Systems engineers to determine cyber safe practices and
Evaluate Cyber security standards against current and future boot, middleware, and software code.
Develop Cyber Security Principles and practices to reduce the risk of cyber exploitation
Develop proposals and business strategies to leverage System Security into a profit center
Work with and Develop Cryptographic Code Design
Work directly with customers to develop complete end to end cyber security solutions
Ensure a secure software life cycle and development process
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Cyber Engineering, or Software Engineering
7 years of combined Systems Engineering, Software Development, or embedded FPGA/ASIC experience.
Proven experience with DO-326A & DO-326B
Experience with Embedded Software or Systems
Experience of Secure Software Life Cycle Development
Familiar with RTCA and DoD Security Standards, Policies, Requirements and Processes
WE VALUE
Have executed cyber software analysis or system security engineering for defense or commercial aerospace programs.
Knowledge of typical Security Vulnerabilities and Security Measures for Embedded Systems
Understanding of C or C++ Code
Experience in systems that require survival in high reliability environments including Defense and Space products
Test and Integration Experience
A Master’s Degree in Software, System, Cyber Engineering
Experience with Proposal development and cost management.
Excellent communication skills including proposal development, and ability to directly interface with technical customers.
Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
Multi-tasking with the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks
An understanding of data structures to provide analytical problem solving
