Insight Global INTERNATIONAL - Big Data Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona
Job Description
A client in the financial services technology industry is seeking a Big Data Engineer to join its CTO organization and work on migrating the existing data lake environment from Hadoop to GCP BigQuery. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years' experience in big data environments, preferably working with tools like Hadoop and BigQuery. They should also have a strong understanding of how to ingest data and pass it to downstream systems. They will be involved with troubleshooting and debugging the environment, and should have programming skills in either Python, JavaScript or Java. Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technology terminology is a must.
Pay is $10-18/hr depending on experience

Skills and Requirements
Strong skills in big data, preferably around GCP BigQuery
Knowledge of Hadoop or similar
Programming skills in Python, JavaScript or Java
Understanding of how data is ingest and passed to downstream systems
Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot, debug and solve application issues
Strong communication skills null
