Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic, research and leadership roles.

DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.

Responsibilities

The Director of Finance is responsible for the overall functions of budgeting, cost accounting, decision support, management engineering, financial analysis and special projects, in order to assist in the proper financial management of the Medical Group. The position will specifically support the 3 Physician Enterprise medical groups in the Arizona and Nevada markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develops, analyzes and interprets key financial performance indicators in terms of profitability, performance against budget and trends in order to recommend corrective action.

  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures. Assists departments with budget compliance and conducts budget and analysis training as needed.

  • Provides assistance with special projects such as the evaluation of new potential business opportunities and the development of related proformas and business plans.

  • Utilizes multiple management tools and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement within the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting and finance experience in a large organization with at least three of those years in healthcare.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience is required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Masters Degree, CPA or comparable experience.

  • Five to ten years of progressive managerial experience in Ambulatory Healthcare / IDS Medical Group.

  • Working knowledge of Physician and Advanced Practice Provider compensation models and administration.

  • Experience with Lawson, Axiom and Infor Global HR is a plus.

  • Self-starter with strong relationship building skills.

  • Able to work effectively in a changing environment and in multiple diverse markets.

Pay Range

$54.12 - $78.47 /hour
