    Summary of Responsibilities

The desktop support technician works across a broad range of creative-focused technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests. This position is also responsible for answering IT requests via email, phone, or instant messaging and explaining solutions in technical and non-technical terms. The desktop support technician is also responsible for executing broad-based IT-focused changes throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

· Work closely with IT leadership to support associates throughout the organization

· Troubleshoot/triage issues on Windows OS, MacOS, and iOS with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite. and Google G Suite Apps both in-person and remotely.

· Manage and support Mitel Phone System

· Monitor help desk tickets via Fresh service.

· Monitor routine maintenance, backups, and restore systems.

· Identify and document technical problems with software applications or network systems

· Create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to senior leadership

· Manage supplier and communications issues as they arise

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Perform basic SharePoint administration tasks.

· Work closely with Azure active directory

Education and Experience

· High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· Five or more years of experience in a desktop support role is required

· One to three years of experience with security practices, servers and anti-virus programs is required

· One to three years of networking experience, especially with Meraki switches and Firewalls is preferred.

· One to three years of Google Suite experience is preferred

· One to three years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory Services and O365 is required

· Knowledge of Salesforce.com is preferred

· Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred.

· Knowledge with Meraki switches and firewalls and supporting them through Meraki dashboard.

· Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint administration

· Knowledge with Azure Admin Center

Skills and Requirements

· Very strong organizational and time-management skills

· Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management effectively and sensitively

· Advance level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

· Sensitivity to confidential matters is required

· Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency

· Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately

· Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English

· Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others

· Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses if assigned

Scheduling

· Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working outside of business hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays

· May be required to be on-call and aid during staffing deficiencies on-site

· Ability to travel (10-15%)

Environment

· Exposure to environment typically found in an office building
