The Associate Logistics Manager will ensure efficient order processing and fulfillment as well as enhancing customer satisfaction through effective communication within the CO-Packing & Retail Solutions Distribution division in Veritiv. Role responsibilities include precise inventory tracking and proactive communication with customers and vendors to resolve any issues swiftly. Additionally, it requires a strong commitment to self-management, adherence to company procedures, and a dedicated focus on achieving operational efficiency while prioritizing the customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Build relationships with vendors and leveraging relationships to solve problems, such as expediting late POs, improving delivery dates, etc. Achieve specific procurement goals or provide support to others while following established procurement systems and protocols.
Carry out a range of contract management tasks, including verification of vendor acknowledgements for delivery date, cost. quantity and terms, as well as questioning cost discrepancies.
Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and input into standard formats.
Collect and collate information on the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for more senior colleagues to provide solid market information for decision making.
Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures and escalating issues as appropriate.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization\'s policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Process customer orders, verify product availability, and facilitate order fulfillment through effective communication and ERP system management.
- Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly inventory reports, tracking levels and historical usage patterns.
- Maintain accurate documentation, such as shipping documents, packing lists, proforma invoices, and bills of lading.
- Manage precise inventory tracking, recording, and shipment of finished goods within the company\'s ERP system.
- Communicate proactively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Execute assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating reliability and self-management.
- Adhere to documented procedures, maintaining organized vendor and documentation files in compliance with company standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
Work Experience:
1-3 years of related job experience.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Education:
Bachelor\'s Degree Preferred
