Description
We are welcoming applications for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team situated in Phoenix, Arizona. This role focuses on providing AP entry support in a fast-paced environment, and it offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be required to utilize your skills in accounts payable, data entry, and system migration to ensure smooth financial operations, and maintain our reputation for accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate entry of accounts payable data to keep financial records updated
• Utilize your familiarity with 3-way matching to verify and process invoices
• Contribute to the migration from JobBoss to a new system, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption
• Monitor and resolve backed up entries, addressing any issues promptly to avoid financial discrepancies
• Use your knowledge of accounts payable to provide support and guidance to other team members
• Maintain confidentiality and secure financial information by completing database backups
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Maintain historical records by filing documents
• Disburse petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation.
Requirements
• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar financial position.
• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
• Proficient in using financial software and databases.
• Exceptional numerical proficiency and attention to detail.
• Ability to process and manage large amounts of data accurately.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in Finance or Accounting will be considered a plus.
