Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Foundational knowledge in month end closings
CPA experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of cash forecasting
GAAP Accounting experience
Practical knowledge of budget forecasting
Background working with CPA Designation
Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel
Strong familiarity with NetSuite
Adeptness in financial statement preparation
General familiarity with forecasting & modeling
Monthly Financial Statements experience highly desired
Expertise in US GAAP
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Strong time management skills preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to meet deadlines
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Skilled with ERP systems
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
