General Job Description: This is government administration work at the trainee level. Employees in this class learn the principles, practices and techniques required to perform management-level work of an assigned City department in a particular specialty area. Employees are selected and assigned based on the educational requirements for the specific position. Employees in this class complete a training program that includes assignment to various duties, attending training sessions, participating in projects and other tasks designed to familiarize them with the operations of city government.
The Requirements are as follows:
EDUCATION
Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work, or a related area, in one of the following majors:
- Management
- Management Operations
- Business Administration
- Management Science
- Supply Chain Management
- Operations Research
- Real Estate or a related area.
**OR
OPTION 2: 1. EDUCATION:** Completion of any bachelor's degree program including coursework determined by the Office of Human Resources to be equivalent to the specified coursework.
