Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Department: Path Admin
Location: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - 3400 Spruce St
Entity: CPUP
Hours: Mon-Fri office hours per department needs
Summary:
- The position entails a broad range of accounting, AR follow up and general clerical duties. In order to manage the diverse set of responsibilities inherent in the position, the incumbent must show the ability to prioritize his/her responsibilities, must have strong analytical skills, and must demonstrate solid interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Finance, organizes the operations of the Accounts Receivable function. Process check and credit card deposits.
Performs follow up calls on past due invoices
Submits check requests.
Inputs purchase order requisitions into purchasing system.
Becomes the main contact and administrator for all CPUP PennCash activity.
Responsible for the ordering and mailing of banking supplies to the CPUP practices.
Assists DOF in completion of request forms for CPUP access.
Monthly consolidation and formatting of reports for distribution to CPUP stakeholders.
Responsible for making deposits to the bank in a timely manner.
Prepared JE in excel to be submitted to HUP Finance
Maintains payment postings in Cerner ProFit system
Responds to questions from faculty and staff. The research involved frequently includes phone calls, web searches, etc.
Performs other duties in area of responsibility that may be assigned.
Performs routine clerical tasks such as copying, collating, typing forms, filing etc.
Must be aware of institutional rules and regulations pertaining to purchases, reimbursements, etc.
Maintains files in an orderly, accurate and confidential fashion.
Responsible for physician expense reimbursement review, approval and tracking against fund balances
Education or Equivalent Experience:
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
0-1 years Accounts payable experience (Required)
1+ years Medical office experience (Required)
