As the Augmented Reality, AI, and Advanced Video Project Leader within Global Services at GE HealthCare, you will lead a team of suppliers and contractors to deliver our most advanced training for global teams of service, clinical, and commercial students. You will own the execution of the latest in Generative AI technologies, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) solutions to medical equipment install, service and training and drive the development of Virtual hands-on (VHO) simulations and advanced videography. You will execute projects to provide Precision Guided Service (PGS) which combines these technologies into a new solution for training in real-time with tracking and documentation actions.

Working with a cross functional leadership team of experts to help solve business problems, you will execute projects of highly scalable solutions that can bring convergence among product Design for Service, Documentation and Training and make our field service teams effective in performing equipment service safely.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead GE Healthcare (GEHC) teams around the world to develop training incorporating new technology.

  • Working with functional stakeholders, identify technology projects and create project plans for successful, on-time delivery.

  • Help hire and lead suppliers, contractors, and other internal developers that provide the latest technologies and industry best practices. Monitor team performance and publish results to leadership.

  • Create budgets, identify funding sources, and generate purchase orders for technology development and deployment systems.

  • Leverage modern adult learning strategies across global GE Healthcare (GEHC) businesses for technical service and clinical applications. Enable faster, consistent delivery of new training and documentation in multi-media forms including text, pictures, video, and Augmented Reality (AR)

  • Expand the development and management of Virtual Hands-On (VHO) simulations for technical service, clinical applications, and commercial training.

  • Expand AR experiences to enable faster and higher quality field service. Work closely with the Global Service Chief Engineering Office to publish engineering standards and measure adoption by multiple engineering teams.

  • Capture student and stakeholder feedback and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Monitor, measure and provide reports about productivity improvements associated with implemented strategies and new technology.

  • Work closely with program managers and process leaders providing advice and guidance across the regions.

  • Drive the integration of AI, AR, text, and video into a real-time step-by-step tool for guided and documented service.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related fields

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven record of accomplishment leading successful innovation projects

  • At least 5 years of leadership in a technology business with global influence

  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others at global locations to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate across various levels in the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes.

  • Fluent in Microsoft excel tools like Excel and Powerpoint

  • Experience with project tracking and dashboard generation.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with developing training about critical safety processes

  • Knowledge of adult learning training concepts and methods

  • Experience with Technical / Engineering learning environment

  • Experience with multiple modalities at a medical device manufacturer

  • Experience with Augmented Reality and/or medical device console Virtual Machines

  • Demonstrated ability to produce and deliver professional, inspiring technical presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to “see around the corner” for future technology trends.

  • Demonstrated knowledge about applied Generative AI

  • Experience using (and developing) Smartsheets
