Exciting Opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager

We are searching for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our busy team based in Peterborough .

As Supply Chain Manager, you will:

Be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies that will support growth in the HTO-UK business. Develop supply chain processes that will improve operational performance in each department i.e., reduce lead time of parts to customer, improve OTD, focused on cost saving, optimise inventory & improve ease of quotation / order placement. Implement standard processes across the main product groups. Work with Howden category management to develop a preferred supplier base (Including LCC) that supports the HTO-UK business growth.

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. We offer hybrid/Onsite working for this role which will allow you to enjoy the balance of home working and collaboration time with the team in our modern, friendly offices which include free onsite parking.

What Needs To Be Done?

Partner with all teams/departments to develop supply chain processes that support business growth. Responsible for leading key Supply Chain initiatives within all projects. Responsible for setting the strategy for the Supply Chain function. Aligned with advanced procurement that supports cost savings initiatives. Support change management activities to ensure Supply Chain Strategy is executed and the associated benefits realised. Support talent acquisition and develop a strong team. Develop a continuous improvement culture in the team and drive improvement through deployment of Supply Chain tools. Liaise with the Global Category Manager and coordinate activities as required to ensure alignment of global sourcing strategies with the needs of the NB and AM business. Benchmark external best practice and make recommendations for making continuous improvement to the supply chain processes. Lead negotiations and completion of contracts/supplier agreements. Responsible for “make or buy” decisions, where appropriate. Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews. Optimise the use of information systems and technology for tracking, analysis, reporting, administration, and communication between business units. Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and team members.

To be successful you must have …

  • Extensive previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or recognised qualification within Purchasing, Business Management, or related field.

  • Experience in New Business and Aftermarket.

  • Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories, and process.

  • Experience demonstrates continuous improvement and deployment of lean within Supply Chain.

  • Leadership.

  • Ability to influence.

  • Change Management.

  • Talent Identification.

  • Strategic Vision.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must be a team player and a team leader.

  • Must possess a high energy personality.

  • A strong understanding of ERP systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Degree + MBA

  • Knowledge and experience leading Six Sigma and/or Lean project

  • CIPS qualified
