About the role

  • Asia Pacific and Middle East & Africa (AMEA) is a key region of growth for the Barry Callebaut (BC) Group. You will be part of a function that is expanding and will be instrumental in supporting strong business growth.

  • The FP&A team acts as the analytical engine of the Finance organization in AMEA. The team will perform analyses and provide relevant financial information, expertise, as well as insights to Finance Business Partners and the Management. The team is also responsible for partnering with the business and driving standardization of reporting and analytics across the region. In line with the business, the team is segmented into 4 main work streams Chocolate, Cocoa, CSD (Customer Supply & Development), and Governance/SG&A control.

  • As a Senior FP&A analyst, you will report to the FP&A Manager of Cocoa and be responsible for providing strategic decision-support to the Cocoa Finance Business Partner (FBP), as well as the key Cocoa stakeholders. You will drive a series of initiatives, including elevating the analytics of the region. You will be instrumental in delivering key insights to the Cocoa commercial team.

  • Your work will indirectly span across the 4 main FP&A work streams and will depend on the region’s information requirements. This responsibility includes reporting deadlines, custom analytics, projects and ad hoc tasks.

    Key responsibilities include

  • Strategic Decision Support

  • Act as a sparring partner to the FBP and VP of Cocoa, providing analytical insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

  • KPI Oversight and Analysis

  • Oversee the delivery and act as the gatekeeper of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Cocoa business in Asia.

  • Analyze and interpret KPI data to identify meaningful pacing trends for the region, consulting with stakeholders to anticipate and address potential issues.

  • Lead the monthly consolidation and reporting of volume and premiums for Asia Pacific, including a forward-looking view. Provide key insights and drive discussions to help steer the business toward profitability.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the Cocoa business in Asia.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives and finance projects aimed at driving business growth and efficiency.

  • Insights Generation and Trend Analysis

  • Support the elevation of FP&A Cocoa by generating insights for the FBP and VP of Cocoa.

  • Highlight trends and potential watch-outs in financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement and optimization.

  • Competency Building and Project Support

  • Receive guidance and support to build competencies across all four FP&A work streams

  • Support projects aimed at standardizing analytics and developing new data visualization tools to enhance the effectiveness of financial analysis and reporting.

    About you

  • 10-12 years’ experience in FP&A and finance.

  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive improvement.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar.

  • Advanced technical proficiency in SAP – ERP systems and Excel required.

  • English proficiency is required.

  • Dashboard, data visualization (e.g. PowerBI) and programming experience will be a strong advantage.

  • Experience in an MNC/B2B/food industry is a plus.
