JBT Corporation System Integration Engineer in Pennsylvania, United States

The Opportunity ... Key Responsibilities: Leading Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Risk Assessments Understanding Failure Modes on existing installed systems and driving analysis / implementation plans / documentation for mitigations in the field Driving FMEAs/RAs as part of Engineering Design practice within JBT Automated Systems daily engineering operations Defining Effective Electro-Mechanical Integration of AGV Systems Works with cross discipline engineering teams to determine optimal design/performance of AGV Systems design including electrical components/sensors, hydraulics, motors/actuators, mechanical design, and software to provide the most reliable and effective design of equipment for our customers. Field Support Travels to key customer sites to support as a Subject Matter Expert on integration issues and driving to root cause of system problems. Helps communicate effectively with customers our problems within the system and what our plans are for mitigation. Vehicle Testing Support Test Engineering group as necessary Helps drive effective testing by driving Failure Mode focused testing Standard Product Development Supports the Standardization initiatives for AGV systems to reduce the number of custom projects in the field. Understands customer field issues and engineering design challenges to effectively improve system by driving changes into baseline product to support Standard Product. Why work at JBT ... Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 10+ years of proven experience as a Systems Integration Engineer dealing with Electro-Mechanical Systems. Experience leading FMEAs and Risk Assessments. Experience in Control System Tuning and Calibration. Experience in executing Engineering design in a structured development environment. Preferred Skills: Experience dealing with CANBus/Ethernet systems Hydraulics engineering design background. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
