THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the operation and upkeep of all maintenance equipment and vehicles, ensuring the optimal condition of the road system and facilities within the Loyalsock State Forest. The incumbent will be tasked with conducting regular inspections, performing necessary repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance measures to guarantee the safety and functionality of the forest's infrastructure. Additionally, the individual in this position will be expected to adhere to established protocols and safety guidelines while carrying out maintenance tasks, as well as maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment usage.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday, with 30-minute lunch.
This position requires occasional overtime and travel.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or
Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more: or
Any equivalent combination of experience or training .
Special Requirement:
Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Conditions of Employment:
This position requires that employees in this class have a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
