SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our products. You will work closely with the General Manager to create industry-relevant products that meet company specifications. To ensure success as a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you should have excellent analytical and design skills, good working knowledge of design software, advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to transform ideas into high-end products that perfectly meet the needs of our customers. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will work on a project to implement a MPS – Master Production Schedule for a multi process manufacturing facility, working with our current MRP/ERP system to implement and coordinate with our IT department, Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing Production, Purchasing, Materials, Quality and Shipping departments to integrate our routers, processes (both internal and external), and standard time into the MPS module. This is a long-term key important project and is with a company that is looking to grow in size and scope. You will also be required to review and verify the accuracy of engineering documentation for production.

Key Performance Indicators and Core Functions

  • Responsible for creating, and reviewing, documenting, developing routers and specifications used to manufacture, assemble, and test/inspect Company products.

  • Review manufacturing processes and work instructions for complex parts (processes to successfully transition of customer products to production)

  • Review travelers, work instructions and BOMs for customer contracts.

  • Review work instructions, process maps, material specifications, customer drawings, and project flows.

  • Review production equipment, tools/fixtures and assembly lines to ensure proper and safe operation and minimize and /or eliminate down time.

  • Work on continuous improvements / special projects to improve efficiency for building of cable assemblies

  • Utilize MRP/ERP software for bill of material and routing instructions to support production.

  • Familiar with MPS – Master Production Scheduling.

  • Analyzing market and industry product trends.

  • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the production and manufacturing team members

  • Communicate and collaborate with other managers and leads.

  • Enforce DCX-CHOL Enterprises policies and safety practices.

  • Participate in training, safety, and quality programs.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, to meet deadlines and flexibility to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, relevant prior job experience or recent/soon to be graduate.

  • Advanced analytical and design skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Industrial process manufacturing or Electrical AA degree minimum or equivalent experience.

  • Proficient with Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Experience with electronic assembly desirable.

  • Familiarity with specification and industry standards IPC-620, IPC-610, J-STD-001D, ISO9001.

  • Familiar with AS9000 / ISO Systems or Gvmt contracts

  • Ability to visualize theoretical models and design ideas.

  • Good project management skills and keen eye for detail.

  • Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) Techniques.

    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands include the following but are not limited to: good mobility, ability to move between the 2 facilities and within the facilities, lift 30lbs .
