ASSA ABLOY ENTRANCE SYSTEMS US, INC is seeking a leader for a world class business unit and drive direct channel growth initiatives for Hangar and Large Application Doors (HLAD NA) with operational centers of excellence in Peachtree City, GA.

Hangar & Large Application Doors (HLAD) serve clients in the aircraft, mining, and military/space industries, often involving lengthy sales cycles. Experience with large projects and contract negotiations is therefore highly valuable. The North American business unit is a $59 million operation with 160 employees.

The role is responsible for creating commitment and passion to maximize market share and accelerated sales growth with agreed profitability requirements, optimizing go to market strategy to provide customers best in class support and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operationally accountable for accelerated profitable growth within the two product groups Hangar and Large Application Doors (HLAD)

  • Accountable for the budgeting of, reporting of and analysis of financial entities in various corridors to sustain positive development of the P&L, cash flow and key financial indicators.

  • Lead to ensure all corporate and divisional compliance of safety, GDPR, privacy, ethics, code of conduct, anti-theft, anti-bribery, environmental, international codes, and product design standards and those as required are upheld.

  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan, derived from Industrial Segment Strategy, to achieve its growth objectives.

  • Develop strong cross functional management teams that effectively orchestrate human resource, sales, marketing, project management, engineering, supply chain and financial efforts towards, increasing market presence, cost efficiency and innovative design. Create a positive and progressive culture to ensure, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, stakeholder reward.

  • Develop continuous efficiency and sustainability agenda in supply chain.

  • Lead and or facilitate negotiations of and resolution to product or service warranty issues and coordinate corrective actions to reduce future risk to the organization.

  • Maintain and facilitate positive employee / management work relationship within the BA and division.

  • Lead the identification, outreach, justification, and execution of acquisition efforts to expand product portfolio, market share, and divisional capabilities.

  • Oversee Sales activities across regions, to ensure commission plan development, pricing, marketing efforts and sales strategy to; increases leads, quote volumes and conversion rates.

  • Oversee manufacturing activities to ensure efficient product cost, product development, LEAN initiatives, capital equipment, engineering and installation efforts improve; cost reduction, quality on-time delivery and speed to market.

  • Oversee Human Resources management in ensure effective hiring, on-boarding, disciplinary actions, compensation, training, internal communications and documentation improve; Employee Development, Safety and Wellness, Associate Engagement

  • Oversee Financial reporting to ensure that, annual budgeting, weekly forecasting, monthly financial reporting and analysis is accurate, internal systems, transactions and processes are efficient to improve; Capital Utilization, Profit Development, Financial Accuracy and Reporting Efficiency including auditing processes

  • Oversee the setting of clear and SMART goals, tracking and recording of KPI’s with team in all areas of company to accurately assess individual and departmental performance.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent leadership, communication, mentoring skills. Easily able to communicate and connect with all levels of the organization.

  • Well-rounded business executive with previous experience managing profit and loss, Project business, LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement, R&D and engineering, product management, sales and marketing.

  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support sales efforts, business demands and / or company meetings.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate both internally and externally in a wide range of environments, cultures, countries.

  • Must be well organized and able to prioritize themselves and the organization to stay focused.

  • Previous experience with acquisitions, on-boarding and integration would be a plus.

  • Excellent computer proficiency with MS Office.

    IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Well rounded commercial business executive with previous experience managing profit and loss.

  • 7-10 years experience managing international business, preferably in construction or industrial building business or similar.

  • 10 years’ general management experience in direct to consumer and or direct to trade business with experience from local manufacturing on different continents

  • Experience in the building products or industrial building products is a plus.

  • Experience in project sales is highly advantageous.

  • Previous experience with acquisitions, on-boarding and integration would be a plus.

  • Experience with complex contract negotiations is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Technical discipline and/or equivalent experience required.

  • Excellent leadership skills. Easily able to communicate and connect with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent strategic skills, balanced with the ability and willingness to dig into details, and strong execution skills.

  • Strong financial management skills.

  • Must be well organized and able to prioritize themselves and the organization to stay focused.

  • Assertive and decisive personality and an ability to navigate in continuously changing and complex environments to reach results.
