Eaton Corporation Channel Strategy Manager in Peachtree City, Georgia

Eaton’s Assemblies & Residential Solutions (ARS) business is currently seeking a Channel Strategy Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA facility or remote. Relocation assistance will be provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $154,000 a year.

The business is expanding its portfolio and we’re looking for an experienced talent who can help lead the definition of new go-to-market models for the US electrical channel. Focus on strategies to support the four businesses (Residential & Wiring Devices, Commercial Products & Assemblies, Power Distribution Controls & Assemblies, and Connected Solutions).

Understand market trends, customer/distributor needs, competition, primary economic levers, and industry trends related to energy transition and electrification. Identify key coverage gaps, leveraging both organic and inorganic opportunities to grow both market and wallet share. Collaborate on strategy for energy transition and digital. Identify partnerships and potential investment opportunities, which build strength or profitability in the US channel. Develop business cases and present proposals to senior leadership. Eligible for 100% remote work.

What you’ll do:

  • Map the landscape of channels to market for the ARS business across product lines including but not limited to EVCI, V2X, VPP, etc.; prioritize by highest opportunity and develop target list of partners for Eaton to work with.

  • Provide strategic marketing direction for new product development of EVCI, V2X, VPP, etc. solutions that is informed by voice of the customer (VOC) and competitors’ positioning to execute product launches and or scale sales for the North American market.

  • Track relevant market trends and the evolving competitive landscape while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of product applications and relevant standards.

  • Collaborate and partner with other product lines and/or companies/firms to create bundled hardware & software portfolio solutions that deliver on synergies for our targeted customer segments.

  • Provide leadership and drive results for global alignment around product development, marketing initiatives, regional requirements, and segment-specific execution.

  • Take hands on ownership of platform management functions in the early days as the strategy is built and the team is growing.

  • Support the product line owners in key customer interactions, business development opportunities, and negotiations with customers.

  • Work closely with channel, major accounts, global product line teams, and segment managers and ensure alignment and leverage their collective expertise on the way to bring the product line to market.

  • Communicate and present strategy and progress against financial results and forecasts to Senior Leadership and other key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Connected Solutions PLM to develop, deploy and execute a holistic pricing strategy that meets revenue, share and profitability targets.

  • Work with Marketing Communications to support product promotion of priority product lines, opportunities including traditional promotional materials as well as on-line and multimedia assets.

  • Cultivate and form relationships with high opportunity partners across EVCI, V2X and VPP.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business, product or market strategy within the utility, electrical or automotive industries

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business from an accredited institution.

  • Qualification and experiencing applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • 7+ years of experience identifying market opportunities, developing business cases, and supporting the successful launch of products / services.

  • Experience with deploying products into residential power systems.

  • Experience working with utility programs, automotive and or distributed energy resource manufacturers a plus.

  • Experience in development & deployment of DER (distributed energy resource) systems, back-up power systems, microgrid systems, EV Charging.

  • Experience writing and presenting senior executive level communications for internal and external audiences.

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the product development process with the ability to balance/manage commercial expectations and project timelines.

  • Ability to clearly communicate internally and externally. Build long term relationships and grow influence.

  • Complex problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed organization.
